Work Underway on Cigar Factory Condos

On a morning visit to Blue Ion’s offices today, I noticed The Simpson Organization has started some of the construction work on the Cigar Factory building.  This former warehouse, former office building, now being transformed into a new office/retail/condo building in downtown Charleston, actually is bucking the local and national trend  - moving forward on a new residential construction project!  Word on the street is Chef Ken Vedrinski (Sienna, Trattatoria Lucca) has plans to open a new restaurant in the building by the end of the year.  Better get cooking.  For more images, check out Blue Ion’s post.
