About SquareFeet

Despite the heat and humidity of our summers and the “no-seeums” that claw their way into our outdoor cocktail parties, people are continually relocating to and moving around within the Charleston market. Let’s face it - we love our way of life, our neighborhoods, dining, and easy access to the beaches, sailing and world class golf - and the rest of the country is catching on and moving into this part of the world. In the Lowcountry, it all comes back to real estate and the neighborhoods where we live - whether it’s a downtown loft, a 200-year old fixer-upper, or a classic riverfront farmhouse in the Old Village of Mt. Pleasant.
So, we at Places have started this forum to establish a virtual conversation area about real estate in Charleston, Mount Pleasant, Sullivan’s Island, Isle of Palms, West Ashley, and the islands of Kiawah and Seabrook. Prominent sales, new developments, amusing broker stories, great restaurants, and the latest local property gossip heard at the weekend shake— hopefully, with scoop from our readers, we can create a fresh source of behind the scenes content surrounding the ever-changing face of real estate in our town.
